Look what I'm bringing to our scribble picnic party this week.....tea cups for one and all! Uh huh, fancy a cup of tea with me, sipping from these cuties? I had so much fun illustrating this "rabbit" piece for the round this week. Oh gosh! So much, I'm seriously considering designing some actual mugs/tea cups.
Anyway, you can see a few of the process photos over on my Instagram account. Simply swipe or click through to view them. Besides my watercolors, I utilized my Tombow brushes quite a bit this time around. If you're not familiar with them, keep an eye out for a post I'm working on to explain a little more about them and how to incorporate them within your own art.
Until then, grab your favorite picnic blanket and hop on over to visit with everyone else. You're sure to enjoy the sunshine and fabulous peeps!
I love it! Love the steps shown on your IG too. Haha. Thank you. They make for a darling addition to our picnic this week too. And you know, I would grab my favourite picnic blanket, but as we;ve decluttered, I think we're down to one, if that. :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant take on the theme this week. So glad that you got to get this done in time too. Thanks again. :) Off to IG now...

ReplyDeletemy favorite would have to be the top cup with the pink background, it's like he/she is chasing after a butterfly, but they are all so very cute.

ReplyDeleteI'd love a set of teacups like this. I can just picture them in the little shop next door to my favorite tea room. They would be scooped up so quickly. Beautiful colors and subject matter!
ReplyDeleteAlexandra, I would definitely love to buy a set of these if ever created in china (like in bone china NOT China!) How pretty, and the bunnies expressions are such fun.
