This isn't what I'd hoped in the end but it's done and that's what matters. I pushed through this ALL day today, being quite sick. Swollen throat, ears and head hurt, sneezing my head off....alas, I made it to the picnic....but please....don't get too close or I fear you'll catch my cold! 🎃
With that said, I promise to visit everyone over the next few days - and I'll also catch up with last week's picnic events as well. It's been a longgggg week of various things.
This is utterly heartwarming adorable...which isn;t easy to do for a Boo theme, Smoots. I love it. I know you haven't felt well today but perhaps that translated well for that super cool night sky and moon. Love it and lOVe the traditional style costumes too...reminds me of WAnda's darling piece as well as Serena's. So fun. Who can't love a hedgie Mummy too?! OK, you are excused from bringing any edible to the picnic....but if already made, jsut leave them here. You know I can help take care of those all on my lonesome. :) X
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for pushing through and sharing this with all of us here at the picnic. Speaking of "Boo" -- we need to go see Madea's Boo 2! :D So funny.
So sorry you're not feeling well. One would never know looking at this beautiful illustration. Looks like they're going to have lots of fun!

ReplyDeleteOH, Alexandra!!! This illustration is SO adorable! You did a fabulous job but I’m sorry to hear you’re not well. Do rest up and don’t push yourself too hard. Sending healing vibes your way. xo

ReplyDeleteOh this is so sweet and heartwarming. I agree with Michael, the old fashioned costumes were so cute. And I love picket fences. That mummy is just too cute...all your critters are beyond adorable.
ReplyDeleteHi Alexandra :) This really is a wonderful sketch, I love the mummy! :) I remember as a kid, our parents tried to get us to use those plastic jack o' lanterns to collect the treats, but we always opted for pillow cases because they held more lol! I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh my, this is a you boo picture. Not as scary as it is cute and heart warming. The makings of another book, maybe? I love your sweet characters and it is all set off with the darkness ... that is what says Boo :) Love it, Alexandra.

ReplyDeleteHoping you are on the mend Alexandra! Can I just say if my doorbell rang on Tuesday and I opened it to find these characters wayyyyy down below on the scary welcome mat, I would be the happiest kid alive and I would FILL their little pumpkin treat bags to the brim! :) Got to wonder who helped that hedgehog wrap his mummy bandages so nicely. . . That's dedication!
