Scribble Picnic: Fill In the Blank

Last week our Scribble Picnic gathering was postponed but thankfully, this week, we're back and ready to roll. I'm ready for some pumpkin pie with lots of whipped cream....but first, tea! My days are not complete without a perfect cup of tea and one of my favorite magazines, such as, Breathe.  Others are Flow and Frankie....each are packed with ideas and creative inspiration to last you all month long!

Now, can you spot the various places where I "filled in the blank"?

For more picnickers and delicious food, make sure to hop on over to Michael's cozy home.

  2. Such a sweet piece. Tea is sounding good to me now.
I feel like I am guessing where you used our shape: the cuffs of her sweater and maybe the line of the table mixed with the back of her chair? Maybe the shapes on the table.

  4. I'm with Tammie Lee...is it the back of the chair? :) Your profile photo on your sidebar is beautiful Alexandra! You and Michael make such a lovely couple :) Your scribble is cozy. We just got through our Thanksgiving here in Canada last weekend and I made pumpkin pie from scratch and it was DIVINE...we had it with whipped cream too. I made too much filling, so we have a spare in the freezer for pumpkin pie emergencies lol! :)

  7. What a nice, relaxing scene.
The chair, partially hidden, and table edge was the first thing I noticed for the theme. Don't know how I missed the sweater cuffs Tammie mentioned!

  8. Yes, noticed the neat cuffs on the lovely blue sweater (jumper!) first and then the line of the chair and table, great takes on the theme, very clever. Alexandra you do such exquisite work - I love all the little extra touches such as the teabag tag, magazine cover, and very English teapot!

Hugs and happy days as the weather cools and hot drinks become even more enjoyable.

  9. So you are going to make us work for your hidden fill in your blanks ... I see many, very subtle and blended right into the picture. I too need my tea in the morning ... a nice hot cup of green tea with a teaspoon of honey. My day doesn't really start ( or should I say my brain doesn't really start) until I have had that first cup. Thank you for recommending three good reads ... I will check them out. Lovely, as always, Alexandra ...

  10. I think this is you. I love the sweater, warm, fuzzy and cozy. The teacup and her lovey hands. Yes, I would have guessed the cuffs and the chair. I just made to pumpkin pies, and a apple for my cooking class yesterday. Wish I could send you a slice.

  13. "I'm ready for some pumpkin pie with lots of whipped cream"-- me too! But, hey now, you already ate it! :D hahahha.

I LOVE how you hid the largest version of the line behind this girl but one can still see it too. I also notice it on the table pattern and in her sweater's sleeves. Clever. And, as it is, I LOVE this illo--love how well you've depicted the latest Breathe Magazine here too-- soooo you! I love it. Brilliant interpretation. Those hands are so cool too. I jsut feel utterly cosy looking at this. Thank you.
