I love my
hubby and I
certainly know he loves me. Why? Well, for one thing...he's out in 40 degree temps and blustery winds, hanging our Christmas lights. It was such a sight to see, let me tell you. (Queue chuckle) From climbing ladders (he's NOT a fan of heights) to swinging a long pogo stick through the air in order to toss the lights high up in the tree for me...
that's my fab, loving husband. He makes my/our Christmas magical every year. :)
sounds like a great guy. Over and above the call of duty - hanging them in cold blustery weather. I always like your cute people you draw.
ReplyDeleteCute sketch! The tree will look really pretty I'm sure, good for Michael.
ReplyDeleteJust love your sketch, and your story.
ReplyDeleteWell done to your hubby!
All the best Jan
what a sweet guy! my husband put up Christmas lights outside -- once -- about 12 years ago! He's not big of heights either.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and wonderful...and perfect. :)
ReplyDeletegreat illustration :D see all this hassle of putting lights up is why I leave them up all year lol :p
ReplyDeleteIts a darling sketch, it must make you smile as you picture your husband putting up the lights in those weather conditions. We would say here in the very north of the UK that ...He's a gem.
ReplyDeleteYvonne xx
You are blessed and so is he ~ Happy Holidays to you ~ love this latest illustration ~ I want to do stuff like this ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteHappy week to you both ~ ^_^
What a sweet image! Your husband sounds very sweet, I'm sure the lights will be lovely.
ReplyDeleteAwwww!!!!! You two are perfect for each other!! Much love to the both of you! I love your drawing! Big Warm Hugs!
ReplyDeleteExceptionally cute sketch this time around. Love that scarf wrapped up to his chin, and the too short pants. I hung some lights in a tree outside, but didn't have a pogo stick. That sounds easier than climbing up a ladder, throwing the string of lights around the tree, climbing down the ladder, and repeating all of that several times. But they look beautiful when I look out my window at night.
ReplyDeleteNothing makes me feel quite like a kid again as Christmas themed illustrations. The one from Sunday and this one both delight! The magic of the season is really in the work that creates it. . . Michael is obviously a child-spirit as well. I have neighbors in their late 60's who decorate their house and trees every year, no matter the weather, and I hope they always will. . . enjoy the magic and the lights! Ahhh, now I'm getting allllll Christmas-squishy inside. :) lol
