This week I'm sharing a winter scene watercolor painted just before flying out of London. I'm in love with the little yellow house situated among pine trees and fresh falling snow. We had our first snow earlier this week and it was quite lovely to see. Colder weather is moving in next week again so who knows...maybe some more winter magic will come our way! What about you? Do you like the winter season?

Ahh, a charming cozy cottage in the snow. Is there anything nicer to dream about? Well, for those of us who mostly experience winter on tv. As much as you enjoyed your time in England, I can tell you are glad to be back home.
ReplyDeleteI do love the winter months and the beautiful snow as it paints our world white ... a colorless color that seems to remind me of some of the purity we used to have and hopfully still have in our country. My dog loves winter and playing in the snow. We have the most fun when he can jump and dig in the drifts. It is an uplifting season. Love your paintings ... I love your style and admire your talent. Glad you are feeling well again ... sick is no fun.

Sorry to hear you've been so sick, Alexandra, but glad you are feeling much better now. Enjoy settling into your new home. Your winter illustration is very sweet. I love our Brissie winters which really are more like a Wyoming fall minus the wind. We don't get snow here but I do love to look at snow pictures/illustrations/art. :)
