WOYWW - Myth and Art
I'm pushing through my art and studies - barely, but doing it!
It's been an intense semester thus far but it's also planted some new, creative ideas within. I'm looking forward to the "art time" I've carved out of my schedule a few times a week to simply give myself a mental academic break, along with keeping the creative juices flowing.
Here's a snapshot of the Myth studies kicking my butt right now, along with a small watercolor painting of my favorite things to have while studying - tea and cookies! Uh huh.
Happy WOYWW! Hugs to everyone. :)

Sunday Sketches
I can't believe it's time for another round of Sunday Sketches! What happened to the week? Oh dear me. Well, I must report my first week of Fall classes went very well and am pleased with my study habits at this point. It's double the load compared to my summer semester but still enjoying it.
Pictured above is another round of the clip-art I've been working on. Not quite finished but oh so very close. I can't tell you how happy I am with the results of this project as well.
OK. Looking forward to visiting everyone! (Please do forgive me for not getting to everyone was last week).

WOYWW
It's been ages since I've been able to participate in WOYWW and it's quite exciting. I've been buried in college studies as well as misc art projects on the side. I know financially, it's been one of the toughest times in my life, however, I am the happiest I've ever been as well. God has been good.
Above are a few snapshots of the things coming and going on my desk this week.
I do plan to visit everyone, but will do so after my Mythology class tonight. I do hope you'll be patient as I slowly get back into the swing of things. I've totally missed my wonderful blogger peeps these past few months.
What do you do to gain some balance in your life when you're faced with change?

Here we have one of the final clip art illustrations. This project is in its final stages - 360 completed and about 20 or so to go. Phew!
Happy SS! Let's see what everyone else has been up to this past week.

Happy Birthday
Happy birthday to me. It's a hard one this year, remembering the loss of my father, but filling it with great, wonderful memories. From unforgettable concerts and wonderful friends, to perfect hot cuppas and hugs. I'm truly blessed.

All I Could Ever Need
Photo: by ~DeeLune
The sun fades as evening tip toes its way in, wrapping up the day with painted soft hues of blues and pink across the night sky. It feels like it's been forever since my eyes have gazed upon such beauty, so calm and serene. Life seems way too busy anymore. I need balance. I need more beauty.
My silhouette grows in detail against the large glass pane, as the evening sky becomes darker. Green dress, black sweater and a soft, multicolored scarf wrapped snug around my neck. I settle down in my chair; hot cuppa in hand.
Summer has basically come and gone. Autumn's stirring up a tease with her early morning lullabies of cool breezes and sweet scents. Where has the time gone? It seems like it was just yesterday my father passed, I resigned my job, moved to a new home and resumed my college endeavors.
My birthday is just a few days away, reminding me that it was just a year ago I last laid eyes upon my father. I remember pulling my chair up beside his bed, stroking his arm and singing softly in his ear with hopes of bringing some small measure of comfort to his frightened heart and mind - of death standing at his door.
I'm thankful for the few friends that surround me, supporting and helping me push through my first birthday without daddy. My heart is grateful and beyond words this very moment. I soon realize it's these friends who give me balance and pour all the beauty I could ever need into my heart.

Sunday Sketches
Hello! It's time for another week of fun sketching, doodles and what nots. Uh huh. So, come on in and join the fun. Everyone is welcome here. :)
Above is another snapshot of the clip-art project I'm beginning to wrap up. Only a few more letters to go. This project has gone so well the teacher has asked me to illustrate her upcoming children's book. I'm quite delighted!
OK. Happy Sunday! Off to see what everyone else has been up to.

Wonderful New Pretties
I'm excited to share with you some new professionally printed greeting cards. Remember when I shared this design with you a few months back? It's now been transformed into the lovely greeting cards above. Yeah! And let's not forget the revised Sunday Sketches tree awhile back. It too has been transformed into wonderful, high quality greeting cards. You'll find these available in my shop for purchase.
Today, I'll be focusing on finishing up the wonderful teacher's clip-art project I unfortunately fell behind on due to being terribly ill for a few weeks.
So, happy Thursday! Here's a hot cuppa to you, my lovely peeps. :)

With love...
It's been a long 10 weeks this summer, pushing through World Geography and Art History, but - I DID IT! I'm happy to say my summer semester is officially over and a much needed break is now here. I'm looking forward to getting caught up on some projects unfortunately placed on the back burner not long ago.
My heart still aches. I felt a deep loss this morning, as if he left this world just yesterday...
On another note, I've had to tuck away alot of thoughts, feelings, emo - all to stay focused on school. The most pressing thing in my mind?.....My birthday is in 2 weeks - it was the last time I saw my father - he died less than 2 months later from a horrific battle of cancer.

Sunday Sketches
Welcome to another fun week of Sunday Sketches. Yeah! We've had a few new peeps join us over the last two weeks, so don't forget to pop in and say hello. :)
Today has been such a wonderful day for me as I feel like I'm able to breathe for the first time in 10 weeks or so. Yesterday I submitted my final essay for the summer semester and after tomorrow (Monday) I'll be on break for two weeks before Fall classes begin. I'm looking forward to catching up with so many things, including my art and projects pushed to the side to focus on studies.
Above are a few WIP's over the last several months I hope to complete over my small break. Any thoughts or ideas?
OK...off to visit everyone else. Happy SS! :)

Climbing UP and OUT!
(Artwork: Completed painting of a WIP I posted here awhile ago.)
It's been challenging getting back into the swing of things after being ill for so long and still some hurdles to hop over before a full recovery. But, I'm slowly climbing up and out! Uh huh! Everything has been out of whack, including my diet. I've not had a real hot cuppa in almost two weeks due to dietary restrictions. Sigh. Someone please enjoy a hot cuppa of English Breakfast or PG Tips for me, would you?
It's the not worst position I've been in but it's still been terribly discouraging at times. My professors have been very flexible with my homework as well as my clients and their art projects. Much gratitude here.
Much love to everyone. Thank you again for your ongoing thoughts and prayers.
