Chocolate Chip Cookies
by Alexandra H. MacVean
Anna Marie loved to bake.
Her favorite was making a strawberry cake!
But today she was making
chocolate chip cookies,
in hopes to cheer up
her best friend, Susie.
To cream her butter,
she swooshed and swished.
Then tossed in the eggs and flour and mixed...
...and mixed and mixed until it was just right.
"Ahhh, that's it!" she said with a smile.
But oh, she mustn't forget the best part!
And she dropped in the chocolate,
with a dash of love
from the heart!

Very cute cream sketch and poem Alexandra!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet, both words and art.
ReplyDeleteSo cute too.
This is extremely cute and I love that poem! Thank you for sharing! :) Now I need to make some chocolate chip cookies! :)))
ReplyDeleteNow isn't Anna Marie just the sweetest and most thoughtful little girl!
ReplyDeleteShe can come to my kitchen anytime. What fun we would have baking together.
ReplyDeleteShe is darling, and your description of her baking so cute. Another story book...
And yet another version of "cream". Such an adorable young lady with a big heart and her friend will love the Chocolate Chip Cookies. Your attention to details is amazing, Alexandra ... the room, the pictures on the wall, the tiles, the window with the flowers and just all of it sets the mood ... happiness :)

ReplyDeleteI am truly grateful to the holder of this site who has shared this fantastic paragraph at here.
ReplyDeleteThere were so many ways to go with the word "cream" I had totally not thought of using it as a verb. Great illustration. Hope the cookies were delish!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like everyone visited you and I'm only getting to it now, having left a comment on your IG, but as it is, soooo love this piece. Its adorable. I love how you have her tipping the bowl, the size of it compared to her body and all the lovely details that take it to that next level. What a brilliant interpretation of the theme too. Thank you so much. (I think I will note your piece in my egg hunt entry as more peeps need to check this masterpiece out! :) )
