Scribble Picnic - Watch Out! Snowstorm!

Yes, yes, just a wee bit early for snow as Autumn is just beginning but I couldn't help resist the urge to illustrate my idea of a woodland snowstorm for this week's Scribble Picnic theme - watch out! I've tucked in several little goodies for you to find here, including the snowstorm warning on the front of the newspaper Oliver is carrying around Thickleberry Village to warn everyone. Even Mr. Nuttleberry is ready with his shovel! Hee

Well, it's extremely late here. I'm tired and haven't felt well most of the day today. There are some things I'd like to rework in this design but wanted to get something up before I ran out of time. Leave me your thoughts and I promise to reply tomorrow. Until then, I'm off to bed with my hot water bottle.

For more wonderful contributions, make sure to visit Michael over at his cozy cottage...

  1. Oh my gosh, yo;ve done so much to it since I last saw you working on it this morning before heading in to the office for a while. I love the sense of coziness and enclosure there with the impending weather warning from Oliver. The whole thing is so darling and a clever idea at that. Love it. And, Mr nuttleberry seems the perfect name for a squirrel. Too funny as well. Love it. Thank you for taking all this time to do it. Great imagination. :) I'm wondering now if there are enough trees for all of us at the picnic this week to take cover? :)

  5. I love all the details and how earth did you get it to snow in such a pretty way?
The colors are delightful giving such a warm early winter feeling - especially the light behind the curtains. I can't wait to wear scarves and boots - still around 90F here!

Hope you feel better today Alexandra X

  11. Alexandra this is pure magic! It's a scene that captures the scurrying excitement in a woodland village as a season's first snow arrives. As for it being too early. . . well, the mountains here got a foot of snow this week soooooo. :) Hoping you are feeling better today!
