Above is my initial sketch in which I later painted with bright colored pots and is on it's way to my lovely friend L to hang in her home. The colored illustration posted here is definitely my favorite version. With a limited color palette (for the browns and greens), it seems more appealing to the eye on paper. Anyway, I'd love to hear what you would like to see for a page inside my coloring book.

DeleteAdult coloring books seem to be the latest rage. Good for you Alexandra! I also love Terra-cotta planters. Fill them with any colorful flower and it puts a big smile on my face! :)

DeleteRegarding the coloring book, how about filling an entire page with buttons? Some overlapping or piled up, and buttons of different shapes and designs, as well as round ones.

DeleteThese Sunday Sketches posts have become a regular part of my own Monday morning "inspired time" with coffee before hitting the studio. :) Lovely little planters and so many wonderful other artists this week. Never fails to make me smile! :) As for the coloring book? A page of Petite-fours might be fun.
