As we meander through various little greenbelts in our neighborhood, it's like taking an adventure into our own secret garden. We duck under low hanging trees and slip between flowering bushes, occasionally pausing to snap photos of flowers so incredibly breathtaking. In fact, if you look closely at the illustrations in this particular upcoming book, you just might find tiny snippets of such flowers and gardens weaved throughout, bringing each poem to life.
So, don't mind me and my ongoing collection of lovely flowers as I'm currently, crushing on nature.
So easy to do this time of year. . . seems the landscape, and garden, changes every week these days. New berries, the ever changing colors of flowers and tall, wild grasses that all come and go so quickly. AndI love seeing the in-progress peeks at those sketches. . . very inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteDon't they? It's much more difficult to get out during the day when the temperatures have been reaching 90 the past few days. Still, worth every walk. :)
