Sunday Sketches
(Photo sadly lost...)
The days continue to be long and tiring, but I'm still pressing through. My father made it through his second major surgery in less than a week and continues to recover from both. Today was an afternoon of checking in, paperwork and discussing hard topics such as "What do you want to have done if..." Ugh!
Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
----------------------------------------------------------------
It was a challenge getting back into Sunday Sketches this week with feeling mentally tired and all, but glad I pushed myself to do so. This little watercolour is for my father - a musical genius and who can pick a guitar like you wouldn't believe.
Happy SS!

Sophia, your little frog is so darn cute. I love that you did a piece in honor of your father. That is a lovely way to send heart healing energy to him, for art makes us so present. Continued light and prayers for you all.
ReplyDeleteYour little froggy is so sweet! Where did he come from amidst all this turmoil you are experiencing? Good news about your father. Hope you are taking care of yourself...lots of supportive hugs and smiles sent your way! XO
ReplyDeleteOf course I feel like a dolt as I somehow missed the bit about this being for your Dad - So sorry - What a great way to cheer him up too - I hope he gets a chance to see this soon!

ReplyDeleteI understand what you are going through. I lost my boyfriend last month and it was one of the hardest things I had to go through. It's so emotionally draining to watch someone you love suffer and know that there is nothing you can do for them. I hope your father has a quick recovery and will keep you and your family in my prayers.
I agree, the frog is so cute! It just makes me smile because it looks so happy and cheerful playing music :) I am praying for you and your dad. May God comfort you in this time. He has it in His hands! Just keep trusting :)
