Scribble Picnic (Plant Shopping)

Scribble Picnic is here once again and this week we're sharing our interpretation of the theme, "potted plant". I knew fairly quickly what I wanted to illustrate and was quite excited to get started! In this scene, you'll discover I implemented two of my previously illustrated characters - Rudy and Quinton.

So, how about it? Grab your picnic basket and let's go shopping for some potted plants. Of course, Michael says I have more than enough plants in the house at the moment!

For more wonderful contributions, or to share your art of a "potted plant", hop on over to Michael's blog. It's been loads of fun picnicking with others across the world!

  5. There's no such thing as too many plants. Do you follow @homesteadbrooklyn? Your illustration is delightful. I'd love to go plant shopping with Rudy and Quinton.

  6. Yes, the overalls seem to be quite a hit, so maybe I need you to buy me some blue striped dungarees like that too? :) Hahha. Can you imagine? no way. All this to say, I love it and as I said on your IG-- I think Rudi is fine with anything but catnip but Quinton was his pirckly plant I surmise. :) Wonderful and cost illustration here. I so love it. Thank you for taking all that time to create this. I'll swap my plant for yours. :)

  12. Cute, cute, cute! It appears that the friends are having quite a time making a decision on which plant/plants to purchase.
I would love to know where Rudy and Quinton do their plant shopping, as I would scoop up many at that price of fifty cents!

  13. We just returned from the annual Master Gardener's plant sale here so this is perfect! Is there such a thing as enough plants? I suppose and yet we keep adding in to our little collection. . . Love the overalls! We both have ours, got them through the historic railroad here in town. Now, I could never see myself in them when I was a city boy but life in the slower, small town lane makes a lot of those "fashion nevers" seem rather superfluous. Plus they're just plain fun!
