Recovery and taking in little joys

Earlier this week, almost everyone in the household suffered from food poisoning. Let me tell you, it was miserable and not a pretty sight! In fact, I felt helpless being so ill to where I couldn't help the rest of the family suffering as well. It was a long 36+ hours before finally pulling out of it to where I felt well once again. Needless to say, I'm quite trepidatious about eating anything now. Silly but true.

With that said, I've been spending the last 24 hours diligently working to catch up on projects and deadlines, as well as writing home to family and friends. With the weather now sitting around 60 degrees, we're cozied up in fuzzy sweaters, taking in the simple joys of life, like sipping tea.

Off I must go to begin ticking off tasks from my wonderful to do list. One of my projects is making the special announcement of my online classes launching once again. Check them out on my website. There's a bit of everything for everyone alike. You never know what might inspire you on your creative journey!

  2. I hope everyone has recovered, food poisioning is horrible :( Its on of the reasons I tend not to eat out very often after I had it :/ and its not silly at all, anyone who has ever actually had food poisoning will agree. and it usually puts you off of eating wht made you sick

    1. Thanks, Jennifer. I think so. My stomach still wobbles after eating but I think I/we are over the worst of it. Such an awful experience! Ugh

  3. Hope all in the household are doing much better now. Food poisoning gets scarier as one ages and seems to take longer really getting back to normal. I can't tell if the "just for you" is a card or not, but it is beautiful.

    1. Thank you very much, Faye. This is the first time I've experienced it and it was just awful!! The "just for you" is a card. I can't remember where I picked it up but it was such a sweet, tiny card. It's been sent off to my step-daughter in the states. :)

  4. Oh no Alexandra, I'm sorry to hear you have all been unwell. I had food poisoning many years back when I was in my teens, but I remember it like it was yesterday! Not fun at all :(
What with being ill and the turn in the weather... you're exactly having a fun time!
Let's hope you have a great week ahead x

  8. Scarborough? I love it and have friends there although I haven't been for years. Didn't know that Mr Toast was a Yorkshireman! So sorry to hear about the food poisoning - nasty, very nasty but hope complete recovery for you all is fast.

Haven't been around here for quite a while so trying to get back into the swing of blog land. My Muse disappeared-as did some of my humour. But we could be back on track!
