Sunday Sketches

WELCOME to Sunday Sketches!  A place where doodles, splashes and all kinds of color can be found. Regardless of who you are and what your style is, you're welcomed here in our cozy little corner of the world.  So, COME ON IN!  :)

Above is another loose sketch; a new style and technique for me in which I've been dabbling in as of late.  Between this one and the last one, peeps are sure to know how much I love cakes, cookies and tea!  Hee.

OK.  I'm off to see what everyone else has been up to.  Happy SS!

  4. I'm really loving this new direction for you! Love the looseness and lots of little details in there, reminds me a bit of one of my favourite illustrators Quentin Blake who did Roald Dahl's books! :0)

  5. Alex, I am loving this new loose style you are playing with, it is very illustrative. I have a couple of Danny Gregory books, which I find inspiring, although not enough to sit in public and draw. It will be interesting to see where this takes you.

  20. Um . . . 'cause cakes, cookies and tea are Awesome! :) And so is this sketch. I love this loose drawing--I think the challenge with this style is keeping the lines loose but the form strong and perspective correct and you do both beautifully. I love this style--it's light and fun and full of so much character . . . it's alive, really. Hmmmm . . . why am I craving cakes and tea now?
