Sunday Sketches

Note:  Mr. Linky fixed now.  My apologies.

Good morning and welcome the first SS of 2012.  Wow!  Can you believe it?

I hope each of you had a lovely Christmas holiday and things are beginning to settle down after all of the hustle and bustle over the last few months.

Above is some more Beatrix Potter (practice) paintings.  I've actually a few watercolours going now and am looking forward to sharing the completed projects over the next week or two.  But, there's nothing like using Ms. Potter to get back into the swings of things.  :)

OK...off to visit everyone else.  Happy SS!

  1. Heeeey! I didn't bring in just sketches this time, but my illustrations to kick off the new year. I'll go above and beyond for my art in 2012 and I hope you'll all see my little rants on animation as well.

  14. I think it is completely perfect that you are beginning this New Year with a new addition to your Potter series, something old, something new, this series a healing transition - it feels animate, alive, welcoming, even embracing of springlike joy and creativity ~ which is how I always feel on New Years morning though i realize we are in the deep of winter. There is a feeling of cozy, the happiness of childhood when wishes are but a means to an end, new beginnings and wonder. Be well, look forward, embrace life! Happy New Year.
