Scribble Picnic: Double

My quick contribution to Michael's Scribble Picnic theme this week....double (or jolt! You choose).

For me, I chose double. Do you see it? ;)

I'm slowly healing. My injured tailbone is doing much better but my upper back where the fractured spine is, isn't doing terribly well. The past three days have been quite uncomfortable due to the pain and difficulty breathing in. I'll continue to rest, although it's so hard for me to stay in one place all of the time. In fact, this past weekend I participated in a local barn affair event. I did well selling almost everything....but I set myself back. Bed rest, says, Michael James. No matter what.

Oy Baby steps...

  4. Okay...I'm thinking it could be double-knit or double sleeves? Love the winter design on it. I hope your healing continues but yes, definitely rest...rest...and more rest.

  6. Well, I see the "Jolt" ... the idea of winter and Christmas trees ... Oh my! There are double rows and I suppose if I were a knitter there would be some kind of double stitch, but whatever it is, the Sweater is adorable and I would love to have one for my beautiful granddaughter :) So it is hard to keep a creative person down and, of course, you overdid, and there is always a price to pay ... in your case pain. So sorry. I agree with Micheal, Bed Rest, Bed Rest ... and maybe a little something for the pain (what ever suits you or your doctors fancy). It is hard to make time pass quickly when you have to stay in place and not do what you want to do, but, believe it or not, this too will pass and sooner than you think. I wish you well, Alexandra

  7. I know two little boys who would look cute in those winter jumpers!

Take care dear and be well soon. Glad you did well at the barn fair - not at all surprising though as your work is always amazingly beautiful.

  8. Alexandra,

I've hit my tailbone purrrty hard mostly when I was a kid but recall vividly how painful that was, too. I can't imagine the discomfort your injury must be for you. I'm sorry for the late visit.

Your artwork is so lovely. You have a lot of talent. I feel so humble surrended by some truly amazing artistic ability of those involved in this bi-weekly challenge. I just noticed in your side menu the various outlets in your life - illustrator, Esty entrepeuror, and a children's book author. I hope you're able to get the funding to see your story in print!

Your sweater design is full of doubles the double greenery spray or if you want you can pair the pine trees and snowflakes together giving you doubles. It sure has been cool enough in East Tennessee to wear such a snuggle sweather, though. In fact, I'm wearing a fuzzy fleece jacket this morning. :)

    Have a blessed day!
