It's been awhile since I've been able to participate with Scribble Picnic and so glad I've had an opportunity to pop in for a quick bite and fellowship with everyone. I've missed all of you very much!
So, here's a little peek at what I think Michael looked like as a little boy, sneaking into the kitchen in the middle of the night for a snack in his pajamas. hee hee

I love it. My mother never ever made cookies (or biscuits) but was known for her Curries! and our kitchen woudl have fit into most people's walk in closet but, yes, there was always tea brewing....an dI was always looking for sweets. :) hahah. thank you. LOVE it....especially as Mama's 1 year anniversary ofher passing comes soon. It's relaly a lovely tribute in so many ways. Thank you too for posting everyone's entries. I can't believe that I again messed up the time but this time the day! I was deliriously tired when I posted the sign up. lol.
ReplyDeleteMichael, curries were big in our house growing up too. Still love a good vindaloo curry. Mum and Dad were big tea drinkers too...any time we had visitors we would put the kettle on to brew a tea. As adults, we are still like that with our own visitors although coffee usually wins out over tea now. My Dad's 3 year anniversary just passed...hard to believe it's been that long already as I still miss him terribly. My thoughts are with you as you approach the 1 year anniversary of your Mama' passing.
DeleteYes, that would be Michael. Look at those curls....Thanks for signing us up.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute piece Alexandra, thanks for signing us all up to the picnic, so thoughtful of you.
ReplyDeleteThe hair says it all and I bet he was just that cute. Thank you for saving the day as I leave early on Wednesday and get back late so wouldn't have had a chance to post my Pj's without your help. Hope all is well in Kentucky ... we have missed you.

ReplyDeleteYou have been missed too, Alexandra, but we understand you have been busy with art commitments and family. Cute illustration...I can imagine Michael would have looked like that, curly hair and all. Thanks for adding my blog link to the picnic. xx
ReplyDeleteAh, cookies just out of reach. Where there's a will there's a way. I love how you've just added color to the pajamas. This is so sweet.
