I sadly missed Scribble Picnic last week but am happy to hop back on board this week! And what's better than a cute little mouse bringing gingerbread cookies and tea to our picnic?! Yay! There's still a lot to do on this illustration but it's a pretty good start.
The next few weeks are going to be extremely busy for me as I've several projects needing to be completed by the end of this month. So, cross your fingers they'll all get completed on time.
OK, I'm off to the picnic myself. It's been quite chilly here so a hot cuppa is in order, for sure! Hmmm....any guesses as to what snack I'll be bringing to Michael's picnic gathering this week?
Looks like she is getting ready for the holidays. Gingerbread and tea are perfect!
ReplyDeleteHmmm ... let me guess, Gingerbread cookies? Every time I come see you, I see another page in a children's book ... I hope you are building one because I have some delightful children waiting for a f/u on your ladybug book :) We are all scrambling to get things done now as the summer has passed us by and we are headed right into to holidays ... Oh my ... I do wish you luck in getting everything done. And, what a relief it will be and a good feeling of accomplishment. Enjoy the process, Alexandra ...

This is fabulous, Smoots. I LOVE those gingerbread cookies. So cute....as is the rest of the illo. My mouth is watering for some right now. Your mouse is adorable. The scene you depict makes me want to stay snuzzled up warm inside all day cozy as always. :) Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy work load to join the rest of us on this rather wintry picnic day!

ReplyDeleteHi Alexandra :)) I missed the picnic this week but I'll have a cookie please! :) She looks so inviting, my own apron actually looks like hers!!! :) I didn't draw cookies but I made some. :)) Beautiful drawing! I used to make gingerbread houses each year for Christmas, but last year gave up because they basically turn to stone before you can eat them! I am going to make gingerbread cookies this year though!
ReplyDeleteMissed you last week, so glad you're back, and with some delicious cookies to boot!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you use to get the white dots and stitch lines on top of the paint?

ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
So cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely rendition for the cookie theme, Alexandra! I love gingernut biscuits, or cookies as they call them in the States. I also make a delicious vegan ginger cake with lemon icing...which you guys call frosting. Yum!
