Sunday Sketches (from England)

As I was putting up this post, I was reminded how Michael and I are just under 4 weeks before we return home to Colorado. As you know, we've been here since the end of July helping his sister take care of his mother. I can't believe how the time has flown by but we've been able to accomplish all we set out to do on this trip.  I know Michael very thankful he was able to relocate for awhile, despite any challenges and grief given along the way. He'll certainly not regret doing so.

I've not done much art this past week due to taking a break from actual art work since my recent illustrated children's book has been completed. It's available on both Barnes & Noble, as well as Amazon. I plan to take the remainder of the year off and a few months into the new year, to simply settle back in to our (new) home in Colorado, unpack, cuddle the puppy and visit with friends and family we've not seen since earlier this summer.

With that said, happy Sunday Sketches! I'm off to rest more as I've not felt well off and on the past few days. I promise to visit everyone when able.

  1. It is a blessing that you were able to leave your world to care for his mother ... certainly no regrets could be had and hopefully all is well. Another move , being tired and not feeling well. Good reason to take a break (if you can call moving a break). I hope this doesn't mean you won't be doing Sunday Sketches as I have just found you and have only just begun to enjoy you and your art. I looked for your book on Amazon and it wasn't there ... I will try again, but you may want to check it out :)Rest and fell better ...

I am so glad that you were able to go England with Michael to help care for his Mom. I am sure she has appreciated him being there, especially his sister must have been glad for the help. 9. I love Foxy Loxy Alexandra... he's gorgeous. Sorry to hear that you are still feeling unwell, but you have had a lot to deal with over the last few months. It's not surprising that you feel you need a break. I can't believe that you've only got four weeks left in the UK. Mind due considering the weather we've had for the last three days I'm think I'd like to be going somewhere else! We've been living in a cloud which isn't conducive to feel good factors.
What you and Michael have done is so similar to what's happening in our family at the moment. My hubby is helping his sister to care for his Mum. Unfortunately, we just lost his Dad last week... just two days after his 90th Birthday... but he just slipped away during the night.
Take care and congratulations on completing your book.
I'm off to have a look. Thanks for hosting the link up too :D

  12. Hi! Love your fox
Does Michael like Marmite? I heard the prices of Marmite have skyrocketed at Tescos due to Brexit :)
