Ringing in the Holidays With LOVE
We're finally settling in for the Christmas season here in our cozy little home. It all began last weekend with our annual family trip to the cabin with the kids. After traveling down to town on Saturday to pick out our family ornaments (See top picture), we spent the afternoon cooking and baking together. Nothing could have been more perfect than being cozied up in the mountains in a comfy cabin, celebrating family, life...and Christmas.
Now, the family tree is up and Mr. Toast has adorned the outside of our home with the perfect colored fairy lights. It's going to be incredibly magical when we receive the next Colorado snowfall. My heart is blessed beyond measure to have such wonderful things in my life. Happy Holidays, my lovely peeps!
What do you do to celebrate the holiday season? Any special family traditions you hold to each year?
Lovely and warm Christmas post Alexandra, happy holidays! We try to get together at this time of year with our closest family and friends. It seems to be mostly me getting cards mailed shopping and wrapping gifts but my daughter is getting some of her own gifts this year and she is the cookie baker!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christine. Thank you also for sharing a memory with us. What's your daughter love to bake? :)
DeleteEverything looks so cozy and warm, full of love and your artistic touch. Merry Christmas to a darling whimsical gal.
ReplyDeleteAww, hee. Thank you, Wanda. It's so magical! And I believe we have the ornaments you sent Michael a few years back, hanging on the tree, too. :)
Deletelovely tree :)
ReplyDeletexmas was never really a big thing growing up. Boxing day tho we would have a family get together with lots of food :)
Thank you, Jennifer. We celebrate Boxing Day here as well. It's a big tradition with my hubby's family. :)
DeleteWhat beautiful holiday decor! It looks so cozy. I am looking forward to Christmas, although it does seem to be coming up fast!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa. I love sitting in the living room just after the sun has set, looking around at all of the glistening lights. Hee :)
DeleteSo pretty and I love the woodsy cabin look - and those felted ornaments! We choose a new ornament for our family tree each year and I love that tradition. Enjoy your snow and cozy magical home. My friend from CO sent me pics yesterday of the beautiful blanket of white in her yard and it was 79 degrees here in TX at that moment. This morning I have the fire lit with the air conditioner running - ha!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, thank you my friend! Gorgeous pics! Merry Christmas! For me, I love the holidays and I always believe. Unfortunately, I find my family, has lost the spirit, over the past few years. But, I will never stop being me! I still believe in Santa!
