We have the most incredible little doggie, Brendel-Jo. He is the most loving, compassionate and in-tune puppy I've ever had. When you're sad, he jumps up next to you and nuzzles his head under your chin, getting as close as he can. If you're not feeling well, he'll curl up at your feet and never leave your side. Well, other than potty time! Hee When I'm home alone, working in the studio, he lays at my feet, licking my toes occasionally to remind me he's there. He is most certainly, my little heartbeat. Who's your heartbeat each day?

Alexandra.... I'm loving scenes from the back...this is so cute and so expressive. Don't we love our little buddies... Can imagine life without them. You have so much emotion in this and we can't even see their faces. Great job.
ReplyDeletesuch a sweet piece Alexandra!
ReplyDeletesuch a sweet picture. Love the story.. Funny how your heart beat changes from time to time. This week, our son and his wife got two little foster girls.. Sisters, 2 and 4... so for this week, I would have to say, to see them play and have fun with my son and his wife, knowing what a broken life they have had recently, they are my heart beat!! thanks Alexandra, for sharing your awesomeness!!! Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteYour doggie sounds like a fun companion. We have two guinea pigs that squeak a lot, especially when they hear the fridge being opened. Often we let them out of the cage to play but that has ended in disaster sometimes like when one of them got stuck under the fridge! Happy Sunday
ReplyDeleteI love dogs, and they certainly make great studio companions. I love your watercolor tribute to yours. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYou know my 'little heart beat' ~ She is always on my blog! ^_^ ~ Another wonderful illustration ~ so loving ~ you are blessed ~
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you,
artmusedog and carol
Cute story. I have a husky and a lab mix that add joy to my day. They're never too far away, especially when it's thundering outside.
ReplyDeleteI can't really say the same about our fish (our only pet). They're not very cuddly and I'm not even sure if they've got a heartbeat! I'd have to say my boyfriend Sam, life is so much more interesting with him :)
ReplyDeleteeveryone should have a dog, they make life more interesting in many ways :)
ReplyDeleteour dog would probably be my heartbeat, crazy collie but still lovable :)
Oh how darling your illustration is. He sounds so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love your painting, especially the dog.
ReplyDeleteI have a little cockatiel who is my heartbeat... she is just 'knowing' too. Love your painting...it says it all! You both look like you are looking up at something? Matching tilts of head... way cute!
ReplyDeleteHi. Thanks so much for coming by. Sorry I didn't link this week. I'm finishing up new bedding for our bed.
ReplyDeleteMy sister is coming in to town for mothers birthday. She hasn't seen my current Casa so spiffing things up and trying to get my bedroom ready to show off! I just got my link party up. I probably won't be posting again till Fri.
I'd love you to come over and link Sunday Sketches at the Link the Linky Party!
