Creative Tuesdays - Poppies

This CT was quite challenging for me - so much, that I almost gave up!  I'm still not quite pleased with the final results but in the end am content.  It was a great way to push me outside of my current comfort zone.

I'm looking forward to not only seeing what everyone else has done for CT but to catch up with my Sunday Sketches peeps!  I'm a bit behind due to my birthday celebrations.  ღ¸¸.•°”˜”°•.¸¸.Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

For more Creative Tuesdays contributions, make sure to visit Mr. Toast over at his cozy little spot.  I'm sure you'll find him with a hot cuppa in hand and a slice of bread with peanut butter on it.  Hee,

  1. I love what you have done with this theme, with the poppies in her hair and in the garden.

  2. Such a warm and full of love painting. You have the ability to place yourself in your paintings, and share yourself on paper. Not many artists can do that. I love that Michael is painting again, and I know you are his support and inspiration!... Love you tons.

    1. This came out great! I LOVE it. So cute...especially the lil' doggie who looks awfully like your adorable Brendel!:)

There are a lot of details I particularly enjoy including her pose, that cute little doggie pendant, and the fact she even has poppies in her hair--wonderfully painted ones too. Well done! I'm so glad you pushed ahead too even when feeling like giving up! you see, you CAN do it and ARE! :)

  4. This is so lovely Alex, it has a very clean and fresh feel about it. I don't know where you find all your ideas for your paintings but they are all so unique and beautiful.
