Got Cuppa?

Good morning! It's been awhile since I've participated in Paint Party Fridays and am SO glad to be
a part of it this week! Yeah! Below are a few illustrations I'm working on for a customer. I've got several other changes and tweaks to make so keep an eye out as I "explore" the hot cuppa world. :)

I would really like to hear your feedback as I'm doing some medium experimentation on my end. Which is your favorite? What do you like or don't like? Is there anything you'd add...or remove?

Have a HAPPY FRIDAY! :)

  1. Great illustrations! I like the top one best for some reason I can't put my finger on, but the details in the below chair are super.

  2. I like them both, but I prefer the first view. It think it's because the green background appears to have a flat finished, where as the blue one has more of a mottled feel, which makes it easier on the eye. I also think the contrast between the finishes of the table and chair make it much more interesting. Anyway, this is just my humble opinion. Blessings my friend!

  7. I like them both, I might like the second one better...but I'd like to see it with a differnt background. Something about the green and yellow...I think another color...

  9. My first reaction before reading the post was great perspectives. The cup looks more real in first drawing, but I don't care that its less so in the other. Everything else on that table sings to me! I like the detail on the 2nd chair too! HPPF!

  10. I like them both, but the top one is a bit brighter and I love the pop of the cup... not much help as we seem to be a bit divided here in the comments... you are going to need a cuppa to help you sort out which one is more popular!!!

  11. Can't pick a favorite either, both fresh and cute. The ladybug is a cute and original touch!

  15. I'm finding it hard to choose between them to be honest. Love how bright the colours are, are you using watercolour? I wish I could get my watercolours as bright as yours.

As for mediums I seem to go through stages where I like one more than others, for a long time it was acrylic but I'm really loving watercolours at the moment :)

  17. I love the blue room. I also love the ladybug that has decided to sit on the chair in the second pic. :-) I love both the paintings!

  18. I like them both but I really like the second one best. The lady bug adds that little something extra and I like seeing the computer from the front. It makes me feel a little more welcome. I love the vibrant colors.

  19. These are both so charming! I really do like both! I think I like the detail of the ladybug on the second one, but I slightly prefer the color and style of the first. The yellow in the second one is a bit overpowering compared to the first, or it may be the bright, bright combination of the yellow and the green.
