Today's blessing - Art with 4th and 5th grade girls

I had one of the most amazing times in my life today - teaching art to a group of 4th and 5th grade girls. What a wonderful opportunity to provide tips, guidance and wisdom to each group of girls designing their own T-shirts.  It was really a blessing to see their faces light up and their hearts filled with excitement, as they learned how to improve the brilliant designs they'd already started.  Hee

At the end of class, several of them were hanging on my arm, telling me how much they loved me and begging for my return.  Awww.  I look forward to my next session with them!  :)

  2. It's amazing how in touch with their desires children are, never afraid to say what they want. I'm glad it was an awarding experience for you and them.

  9. What a wonderful experience both for you and the girls! I can only imagine how cool they all must think you are! If only I'd had an illustrator visit my class when I was this age. Perhaps I would have known what I wanted to do much sooner. I guarantee you opened some eyes to the possibilities life has to offer.
