Sunday Sketches and Recovering
HELLO and thank you for joining us once again for another fun-filled week of sketching, paintings, doodling and whatnot. :)
It's been a long week of recovery for me here. Most of you know I suffered an injury almost a week ago by getting my hand slammed in the door, thus cutting it severely. To make things worse, it's my creative hand! Sigh. Good news, it's healing faster than anticipated so hopefully I can be back up to full speed very soon.
In the meantime, I did attempt a few tiny doodles, despite my hand being in a brace. It's not my best, took me more than twice as long to sketch it - but it felt good doing something creative for the first time in almost a week. :)
So, now I'm off to see what everyone else has been up to. Happy SS!

Loving the picture makers! Snap fun! Hope you're hand is back to normal soon!
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING the camera doodles! Do you have these cameras for reference? Or did you look somewhere online?! That would be a totally fun print!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this fun link up!
Pressed enter too early!
ReplyDeleteGlad your hand seems to be healing faster than anticipated! That is always great!
I think that the sketches look great for it taking much longer than usual, but maybe that gave you some more time to really think about what you were really putting down on paper! I have so little patience that I am usually drawing drawing drawing what I *think* I see and not what I actually see!!
Love your sketches ~ seems to be a new style for you ~ sending lots of distant reiki healing hugs ~

ReplyDeleteHi, Just joined. Love this idea. As for the creative hand injury, bummer!! I recently did a challenge on Daily Paint Works which made us use our non-dominant hand for a complete piece. I really liked mine, because it came out loose and kinda abstract. (See it here http://dailypaintworks.com/fineart/penny-stewart/aceo-the-crowded-street/117783 ) So you might want to try that, just for fun. Penny
