Sunday Sketches

It's time for another wonderful week of sketches and such.  I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.  Above is another watercolor card idea I've been working on.  It's coming along but feels like it needs something else.  Yes or no?  :)

OK.  Off to see what everyone else has been up to.  I feel like I'm missing out on so much.  The last two weeks of the Fall semester are wrapping up and that means research papers out the ears!  hee

  1. Maybe one of those swings that are usually in bird cages and some musical notes? Lovely sketch ~ I am not sure I am linked to Sunday Sketches I don't see the Creative Harbor link ~ are you doing something new to 'link up?' ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^

  2. cute illustration and perfect of a thank you card.
I get that feeling of "something's missing" sometimes too. It's hard to know when it true or not. Is your bird singing?

  12. I like your little bird, only thing I could think of is moving him closer to the door1/2 out the door to signify being set free?

  14. Cute and charming! I agree with Debbie, the bird looks as if she or he is singing so maybe a few notes! Singing with gratitude! Patsy from

  16. I think your bird is darling! Maybe a sprig of green in the background would give it a more complete look (branch, ivy, flower, tree). Once I finish painting or sketching something I hate to go back and add something else :)

  17. The card is beautiful and I wouldn't add anything. The little bird is such a "restful moment" for my "overworked eyes" as they have to look at and to register so many things everyday. Your art always makes me feel peaceful and calm :)
