WOYWW - It's a beautiful day!

Still pushing through some hurt and loss this early morning but determined to rise up and beyond.  I know my father would want me to do that.

Thank you for all of your love and support.  It means alot, as a person and artist, to be real with you on this every day journey of life!

Tell me, what do you do to bring comfort to your heart in such difficult times?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is my completed watercolor rose painting and I'm submitting it this week for WOYWW.

  2. Beautiful painting. I lost my father also to cancer when I was young, people say time heal all wounds, but when you're hurting there isn't anything that comforts. I still miss him and love him, but I know he is in a much better place. He isn't in any pain now, and for that I am grateful.

  3. what beautiful flowers, when I'm really down,,,,,I go out and buy a couple of my favorite magazines , make a yummy coffee with hazlenut creamer and snuggle in with a cadbury chocolate bar, thats the truth, not healthy, not good form bottom but its what I do, I think of my loved ones who have passed before me always and in that way I keep them with me.I keep phtoos of them around me but when someone is sick and heavy worry is upon me I struggle, thats the truth.

  4. Beautiful water color. So sorry for you loss. I lost my Mother a year a go April. I know many say this, but it does get better with time. What do I do to bring comfort? I cry. I cry freely if that's what I need to do. I listen to a special/beautiful song...look at photos and cry. I also write blog posts on my family blog with photos and poems and I keep busy and create lots of crafts. But most of all...it is okay to cry.

  5. I am sorry for your loss of your father. I lost my mum almost 5 years ago and it is very difficult. Mother's day is always tough. I am sure your father is proud and watching over you.

  8. I know how you feel - I lost my Dad just 7 months ago also - he was in perfect health and then suddenly had a massive stroke - it was such a shock. Then yesterday we buried my Aunt (Dads sister) who has been fighting cancer for over two years - she just turned 65 three weeks ago. Take comfort in the fact that others care and many are finding themselves in the same situation.

  15. Beautiful flowers. I'm sorry to hear about your loss and that you are suffering. It means that you are human and have feelings. It is okay to be in touch with your sadness now but you won't be sad always. As my dad would say: the best revenge is living well.

  17. I think it's one of the best tributes you can make - to push on and keep going, because our parents teach us to do that, however subliminally. Your watercolour is beautiful, such a fat and friendly flower.
