Sunday Sketches



Welcome to another week of Sunday Sketches.  The last few days have been quite productive and for that I'm quite thankful. Previously I mentioned this year was going to be one of changes, therefore I've started taking a few steps forward over the last week or so, but especially the past few days to get a few more things rolling.  When certain things are more concrete, I'll be sure to shout it out here.  :)

In the meantime, let me share some exciting news received just a week or so ago.  Over the next few months I'll be creating around 10 illustrations (in B. Potter style no less) for an upcoming children's book that will teach youngsters about Math.  I'm delighted to have this opportunity and wanted to provide a sneak peak of one idea put to paper just a few hours ago.

    Oh wow that is so amazing! Congrats on the book project! Sounds adorable. I wouldn't loved something like that as a kid especially since I struggled with math.

    CONGRATS!!!! Fabulous news! I love the way you captured the bear in his turtle neck.....one can relate to the struggle to wiggle into a turtle neck and how it feels to be engulfed in one. Can't wait to see more.........

    I am so happy I found this :D I made my sunday sketch at 2am last nite (still Sunday, though) before even knowing this existed! Congrats on the project too - art is the perfect counterpoint to teaching something so left brained as Maths to kids.
